  1. New visual identity and brand system

    • New typography: Manrope for headings and interface, JetBrains Mono for file names, EPSG codes and coordinates. Both fonts are self-hosted, so the site makes no third-party font requests.
    • New palette built on GISConverter Teal, with Deep Navy text and a Contour Amber accent. A dark mode follows your system setting.
    • One-color symbol and Manrope wordmark; new favicons, app icons and share images generated from one template.
    • Every emoji replaced with a consistent line-icon set; format badges (KML, SHP, GEOJSON) on tool cards and results.
    • Simpler navigation: one Converters menu, Coordinates, Guides, All tools, and a "Convert from… to…" search that jumps straight to a tool page.
    • Trust bar under every drop-zone with a GDAL/OSGeo credit, a feature count and conversion time after each conversion, and a guide on verifying that nothing is uploaded.
    • US spelling throughout, sentence-case headings, and this changelog.

  2. Sitemap refresh

    • Homepage last-modified date refreshed so search engines re-crawl it.

  3. Redirect safety, matrix embed and DGN pages

    • Extensionless URLs redirect to their canonical .html page with a single, loop-free hop.
    • The compatibility matrix can be embedded on other sites; deeper coordinate and all-tools pages.
    • Author byline on every converter page; DGN to Shapefile and DGN to KML converters added.

  4. Teal palette, hubs, map viewer and coordinate tools

    • Teal brand palette, new logo and per-page share images; llms.txt for AI answer engines.
    • Key facts and an attributed expert quote on every article.
    • Five format hub pages rebuilt; homepage converter; map preview with basemap switching and attribute popups.
    • GIS format compatibility matrix; meters to decimal degrees page; mixed-geometry shapefiles are split into one shapefile per geometry type.

  5. Unique content on every converter page

    • Unique lead paragraph and how-to steps on all 48 converter pages; editorial policy and glossary pages.
    • Format size and fidelity benchmark article with downloadable sample files.
    • Fixed geometry being dropped from Excel output (the XLSX driver ignored the geometry option, so conversion now goes through CSV first).

  6. Titles, privacy and content polish

    • Keyword-first titles and descriptions on all live pages; last-modified dates on every sitemap URL.
    • Privacy policy aligned with consent mode; duplicate coordinate FAQs removed; em dashes replaced with plain phrasing.

  7. Production launch on gisconverters.com

    • Deployed to Netlify with a content security policy that allows the WebAssembly engine.
    • Smaller logo and share images; SVG favicon; blog posts gained structured data, tables of contents and FAQs.

  8. First public release

    • Browser-only conversion between KML, KMZ, Shapefile, GeoJSON, GeoPackage, GML, GPX, DXF, CSV and Excel, powered by GDAL compiled to WebAssembly.
    • Coordinate converter with a live format hint under each latitude and longitude box.
